I work with business leaders like you who . . . .

“. . . are caught between the comfort of maintaining status quo, and new challenges of creative PR campaigns that will help take the company to the next level.”

“. . . are overwhelmed because they don’t know where the measurement metrics are coming from, and they don’t have meaningful analysis to share with the executive team.”

“. . . worry about whether or not the PR program is off track.  I know you are getting coverage, but are you confident that it’s the right coverage, at the right time, in the right publications?  Do you really know if your PR program is achieving the goals that the executive team cares about?”

“. . . wonder why their PR team continues to chase tier 3 opportunities – when what they really want is quality coverage.”

“. . . worry day-to-day about the aftermath of no PR measurement – and they find themselves waiting for the inevitable question from the executive team . . .  What are we getting for our PR spend?”

Scott Muff, Partner and Media Expert

Scott Muff PictureScott Muff known for creative campaigns that increase web traffic and top line sales for businesses committed to exponential growth.  Customers don’t think about mediums; they react to, and act upon, information that is compelling, fun, useful, original, expected and unexpected.

Throughout his 15-year career in public relations and marketing, Scott has helped countless consumer, B2B and clean technology companies articulate their brands and connect to customers, while driving sales for clients.

For example, he helped LiveOffice, an on-demand email archiving software vendor, increase sales leads by more than 400%. Through strategic, focused media outreach, Scott increased the LiveOffice press coverage five times over. This increased visibility had a direct impact on sales. In fact, sales leads jumped in parallel. They skyrocketed from less than 1,000 leads to more than 4,000 leads in just six months.

Scott has also made a name for himself in new media with award-winning social media and viral marketing campaigns.  For example, he led the FNBO Direct Pay Yourself First Consumer Challenge campaign, which helped FNBO Direct sign 60,000 new account holders.  The three-month campaign resulted in coverage by The Wall Street Journal, Oprah and Friends (XM radio with Jean Chatzky), MarketWatch, MSN Money, Fox Business, NPR’s Talk of the Nation, and more than 150 contestant video submissions on YouTube.  The MyBankTracker Blog says it best, “All around the blogosphere you see posts about a new contest by FNBO Direct called the “Pay Yourself First Challenge.”  Moreover, PR drove more than 47,000 page views of the PYF Challenge microsite.

Scott has deep enterprise technology experience, and has represented countless enterprise technology vendors including, ACI Worldwide, Innotas, LiveOffice, Network General, Zephyr, Lanxoma, and West Corporation.  He is tireless in pursuing results and shows a terrific combination of energy and expertise.

For example, he enabled ACI Worldwide, a leading payments software vendor, to triple its coverage in the financial services trade publications, while increasing the company’s visibility in the business press.  Scott netted four cover stories for ACI in trade publications, and secured inclusion of ACI in more than a dozen analyst reports.  Increased visibility and credibility helped ACI land an equity partnership with IBM, the first of its kind in the financial services industry.

When challenged with the task of re-introducing Network General back into the market after the once revered “Sniffer” product had lost visibility in the market, Scott delivered by increasing the company’s media coverage by 300%.   Through a creative proactive pitch strategy and strategically placed news announcements, he secured 59 stand-alone articles and trend stories for Network General in just six months, including inclusion in a Red Herring cover story.  Increased visibility, credibility and strategic positioning helped Network General achieve its business goal – acquisition.
