What are our budget requirements? We don’t have budget minimums at Jones PR. We work with companies big and small. To give you a feel for how you would fit into the Jones PR client base, here’s a high-level budget overview for typical Jones PR clients:
Do you require a retainer and/or set monthly budgets? No, we don’t lock you into set monthly budgets. We realize your needs ebb and flow. Therefore, we create flexible PR programs with flexible budgets. Some months require more activity than others. For example, if you’re making a splash at a tradeshow or launching your company, you’ll have a spike in budget. Alternately, there are times when activity is naturally slower. During slow times, we don’t create busy work to keep our billing up. Our philosophy is to stay laser focused on the strategies and tactics necessary to help you reach your goals, and then we plan our work accordingly. How do we work? We use @Task, an on-demand project management software tool, to create monthly and quarterly project plans that map to the strategic PR plans and campaigns we’re executing for our clients. You will often see agency account teams spending 2-3 hours per week gathering updates from the team, preparing detailed status reports and creating agendas for client meetings. They then duplicate this effort at the end of the month creating detailed reports to include with their invoices. With limited PR budgets, this time eats away at budget dollars that should be spent executing PR programs. You won’t find this happening at Jones PR. We leverage @task to automate these administrative tasks so we can re-direct more than $20,000 – $25,000 per year back into results-focused program execution. We use @Task to capture every task the team is working on. The team updates the status of each task in the system as they do the work enabling Jones PR to provide clients with detailed reports – automatically. We don’t need to gather updates and create excel or word document reports – it all happens in real-time with @Task, saving our clients thousands of dollars every year. These same reports serve as meeting agendas and are included in invoicing to further reduce administrative costs. What are our billing rates? Call us crazy, but we don’t have billing rates. Instead, we have employed a results-driven, transparent pricing strategy. At Jones PR, we don’t bill by the hour; we bill by the interview secured and by the task required. How many times after receiving the monthly PR invoice have you thought to yourself, “Boy if I had realized the agency was spending that much of the budget on that project, I certainly would have prioritized other needs….” As a client, you don’t feel good unless you have a real grasp on how your budget dollars are being utilized. With our flat-fee ‘a la carte pricing and clear project plans, everything is right there in black and white at every meeting for all to see and discuss.
