JONES writer Shari Hegland, who works from home, admits to Time Killing Tip No. 2: using a “piling” system more often than a filing system. Alongside the notes from yesterday’s meeting lay a container from eating lunch at her desk (oops, that would fall under No. 4), her son’s nearly-complete 4-H entries, and the coupons for next week’s sale at Barnes & Noble. Clearing a little space on the desk would probably go a long way toward clearing her mind.
