Social Media Marketing Tip: Build Posts Around The Calendar

It isn’t always easy to keep a steady stream of content flowing to market your business. That holds true for large corporations, start-ups, SMBs, non-profits and every other iteration of commerce trying to use social media and digital content today.

The content machine is insatiable.

While we’ve talked about having a content calendar planned in advance (see links to more information in blog posts and templates at the end of this post), you still need ideas for filling in your own specific calendar.

That’s where the basic calendar (think seasons and holidays) and more specific calendars (awareness days for causes, health concerns and more) can help boost your brain-storming.

For example, today, Oct. 22, is National Nut Day and October is National Pretzel Month. How can you incorporate those recognitions into your social media content with updates, images or interactive contests?
