How PR & Marketing Can Cooperate to Fill the Sales Funnel

 

When it’s time to create content for your brand, who does what? What does PR create? Which tools or tasks belong to the marketing department? And how do the two work together?

It is easy to see ways to utilize the strengths of both departments when you think of content through the lens of the sales funnel—starting with awareness level content and working through to close in on the sale. PR feels comfortable at the top, while marketing has more inclination toward asking for the sale in those materials at the bottom.
