Social Media Marketing Tip: Using Call-to-Action Buttons

Social Media Tip_ Using Call-to-Action Buttons

You use calls-to-action in your marketing emails. You add CTAs to your website pages. You include multiple types of CTAs in your business blog posts.

Do you have one on your Facebook page?

While you can use CTAs in many different ways on your website, blog and emails, there are limits to Facebook’s official “call-to-action” button, which can be featured in the lower right corner of the cover photo on a Facebook business page.

A few of the options that are available for the text that will appear on your CTA button:

  • Book Now

  • Contact Us

  • Use App

  • Play Game

  • Shop Now

  • Watch Video

Online retailers will likely want “shop now,” while others may want to educate visitors with “watch video” or encourage blog subscriptions with “sign up.”

You can add a call-to-action button right from your Facebook account’s home page — if you don’t already have one, there will be a large button in the lower right corner of your cover image that says, simply, “Add a Button.”

Then choose from a list of drop down menus to complete the action, which may include creating a form or simply linking to a specific page on your business website.

This is a quick and easy step to add to the end of the illustrated instructions included in How To Create a Business Facebook Page in order to increase engage and use your social media marketing efforts to directly connect customers to your business.
