Even Outbound Marketers Say Paid Advertising Is Overrated (Infographic)
Sometimes, you run across a set of survey results and can only classify it as “things that make you go ‘hmmm...’.” (That’s a 1990s reference for those a bit younger than me.)
One of those is the seeming contradiction between survey results that say even marketers who rely on outbound marketing tactics agreeing that paid advertising is the most overrated marketing tactic.
Print and outdoor advertising took the biggest hit, with online advertising less likely to be in the crosshairs as being overrated.
Outbound marketers, while still putting paid print and outdoor advertising at the top of the “overrated” list, were more likely than their inbound counterparts to question the value of email marketing and social media or organic search.
