Social Media Quick Tip: Create Content For Holidays

February 17,2020 | BY: Kristin Jones

Today is Monday, Feb. 17, 2020. That means that here in the U.S., it is also Presidents Day, which always falls on the third Monday of February. Aside from being a great time for retailers to offer sales on bath towels and bedding, appliances and mattresses, it is one of dozens of holidays listed in a downloadable calendar offered by our friends over at HubSpot.

The calendar lists both official holidays like Presidents Day, and less official but more Instagram-worthy options for small businesses to jump on board with such as Star Wars Day (May the Fourth, of course) and National Sunglasses Day.

Pick The Perfect Length For Your Next Blog Post

February 04,2020 | BY: Kristin Jones

In some professions, there are no questions about how to get the results you want. Precise manuals spell out exactly how to replace an engine part or calculate the needed statistics in an actuarial table. January 23,2020 | BY: Kristin Jones

Any good integrated marketing and PR program is built on a foundation of planning, strategy and interdepartmental collaboration. But the bricks, steel, windows and doors that make up the structure the world sees are composed of content.

Content matters.

How To Improve Your Writing Skills … or “No More Mediocre Content”

January 15,2020 | BY: Kristin Jones

There is a lot of content out there. So much, that there simply is no place amongst it for content that is “just OK.” Content that is “just OK” won’t be seen, won’t be shared, won’t drive awareness, and definitely won’t generate leads and sales.

We believe that wholeheartedly, both for the content we create for our clients and the content we create for our own use — that’s why we have been known to take a completed infographic back to the drawing board and start all over from scratch because it was “ok” but not great.

May 07,2019 | BY: Kristin Jones

More than 15 years ago, while I was still working with global PR agency Porter Novelli, I was handed an assignment that I was certain was punishment. I couldn’t think of a topic any more boring, any less engaging, any more difficult to turn into a public relations campaign that would garner media coverage.

I was assigned to support the sales of paper and ink. Really?
